The night before Eid, Muslim children worldwide find themselves unable to drift off to sleep.
Not out of worry or anxiety, but because they are too excited!
They can’t wait for morning to arrive so they can dress up in their new clothes, adorn themselves with glittering jewelry, and step into some brand-new shoes.
In refugee camps, however, Eid carries little of its usual joy.
Parents do not have the means to buy anything new for their children…
And so, these little angels don’t have much to look forward to in the morning.
Wait: it’s about to get worse.
It gets even worse for children who have lost their parents: the single most important presence in any child’s life
As they fall asleep in their tents the night before Eid, they find themselves wondering what life would be like in a world where their parents were still alive…
And where they would get to enjoy Eid with the rest of the family.
The Arsal Camps host refugees–runaways from a country that is still reeling from the aftermath of a severe civil war.
So far, the conflict has…
🔷 Displaced over half of the population.
🔷 Taken the lives of half a million people.
🔷 Led to extreme food insecurity, affecting around 12.4 million people.
Many of these displaced people have found shelter in Lebanese camps that are worn-out and flimsy.
These refugees live a phantom of a life in dirty, ragged clothes, with their feet full of blisters as they run around bare-foot.
This is a reality they are unable to change…even with the arrival of Eid.
That is, unless you can help.
The beauty of Islam is that when you give things to others…
You receive so much more in return.
In Islam, charity…
🔷 Extinguishes the sins of the believer as water extinguishes fire
🔷 Leads to an increase in wealth
🔷 Becomes a way for you to earn Allah’s help in your affairs
🔷 Gives you an easy ticket through the door of charity in Paradise
When you give charity, it might seem like you are giving away something without receiving anything in return…
But in reality, Allah is keeping count of every single penny that you’ve given…
And He has promised to return every single one of it.
See, when you contribute towards the gift of an orphan, you will be fulfilling your duty towards orphans.
‘They ask you, [O Muhammad], what they should spend [in charity]. Say, “Whatever you spend of good is [to be] for parents and relatives and orphans and the needy and the traveller. And whatever you do of good – indeed, Allah is Knowing of it.”’ Al Baqarah: 215
In choosing an orphan as His Messenger, Allah (swt) raised the status of orphans everywhere. The Quran revolutionized their treatment, and made caring for orphans a compulsory part of the religion.
Using your donations, Al-Amal’s volunteers will arrive in the camps, with a vibrant and wide array of clothes, and ensure that every single orphan has a chance to admire and don some new Eid clothes.
For just $50, you’ll be giving FIVE children in the camp that chance.
That means FIVE orphans will wake up on the day of Eid, with huge grins on their faces, as they quickly change into their new clothes, style their hair, and get ready for Eid prayers.
If that’s something that YOU personally want to get credit for in the hereafter…
You are right—food insecurity is at an all-time high and the situation isn’t much better in the camps either.
As a result, Al-Amal has been—and still is—running campaigns to help Refugees battle hunger; it’s an urgent matter that we are constantly addressing.
That said, however, Eid isn’t a holiday that is reserved for the rich.
It is meant to be a day of celebration for every Muslim on earth; this is a gift that Allah Himself has given us.
And if Eid is a gift from Allah, then who are we to deny anyone that joy?
It’s a small gift from us to them…
A moment of respite in times of darkness…
So, let’s join hands together…
And spark some smiles on otherwise dull faces.
With Ramadan already upon us, we are less than a month away from Eid.
This means we just have a few weeks left to use your donations to buy, pack, ship and distribute clothes in the refugee camps.
If you delay your donation, you might miss out on the opportunity to contribute completely.
So…if you do intend to bring smiles to the faces of those beautiful little children in the Arsal camps…
We urge you to do it now.
The initiative to establish the International Hope Charity Organization belongs to a group of young volunteers who were interested in humanitarian work, and they were working in Lebanon.
The founding team was inspired by the idea of the organization by communicating with Turkish personality, so the idea and initiative became a legal reality!
Despite the large number of civil organizations, they were not sufficient to manage humanitarian crises and wars that left more disasters, and major gaps emerged in the field of humanitarian work. Therefore, the Al-Amal organization was established to try to meet individual and societal needs.
The organization works on urgent humanitarian issues in various countries of the world. Such as:
🔷 Turkey
🔷 Lebanon
🔷 Palestine
🔷Yemen
Similar to the community established by our Prophet ﷺ in Madinah, Madinah is an organization dedicated to changing the world.
We believe that the best way to make a difference and impact more people is by working together, which is why we help registered non-profits fundraise to reach their goals.
To date, we have helped raise more than $10 million to support many projects and initiatives, both local and global.
This includes building masajid, supporting education programs and Islamic centers, and assisting in relief efforts to help provide relief to thousands of families surviving through crises across the world.
