First circumstances forced them to flee their homes.

Over time they managed to reconstruct their lives within makeshift shelters…

But a heartbreaking fire wiped away everything they had rebuilt.

And just as they tried to settle down again…

A second fire dashed all their hopes and efforts.

The Aftermath…

In the aftermath of a second fire, mothers’ stories are filled with sadness as they watch their children cry endlessly out of hunger and harsh weather conditions.

The elderly find themselves struggling to breathe, as they left behind essential medicines in pursuit of safety.

Families are finding refuge in other tents, but their living conditions are extremely poor.

They have no carpets, mats, blankets, or pillows for comfort, and they lack essential clothing, food, and water, making their situation truly challenging and distressing.

They remain exposed on the streets, in the blessed month of Ramadan, not sure if they’ll have food to break their fast with.

The time for iftar and suhoor passes by and the refugees don’t even get to chew on a single morsel. Children, too, are crying out of hunger.

And in the midst of all that, there’s this constant worry about clothing. When will we get to change into cleaner clothes? How will we take care of our children’s hygiene?
