In the wake of September 13th, devastating floods have struck Libya! Over 11,000 of our Libyan brothers and sisters were swept away by the ruthless waters and another 10,100 are reported as missing.

In the tearful aftermath of an unthinkable tragedy, Libya stands broken and grieving. The raging fury of Storm Daniel unleashed a torrential downpour, leading to the devastating collapse of two dams. This isn’t just a news headline; this is the raw, heart-wrenching tale of 10,100 missing lives. “Wherever you go, you find bodies,” said the flood rescuers.

Libya Calls! I am Answering

Dr. Anas Barghathy, volunteering amidst this chaos, paints a bleak picture, “With emergency services decimated, all we have are our hands, trying to gather the dead.”

Imagine the agony of families torn apart. Ayah, with tears streaming down her face, laments, “The heartrending footage from Derna keeps me awake. I cannot reach my family; I don’t even know if they are okay. The fear is unbearable.”

In response to this crisis, Al Amal Charity has launched an Emergency Flood Relief Fund for Libya. Our mission is to provide immediate relief to those affected by the floods and support the rebuilding of their lives and communities.
